The whole way this accident was handled by the OPP makes me and many other Ontarians that have vehemently complained about this sick and disgusted with the way our police forces work nowadays.

    Simply disgusting.

When they're not meeting their ticket quotas they're busy bungling cleanups to make overtime money.

Of course the OPP defended their decision to close the 400 for eleven hours. How often does an accident happen where they all start making overtime premiums while they sit in their cruisers with the air conditioning as high as it will go since taxpayers are paying for it and watch the mess being cleaned up by contractors? The term "pig" for cops really does come from them sticking their faces in the public trough and porkbarrelling doesn't it? And then for OPP stooges like Kerry Schmidt (who is probably Cam Woolley's future successor on CP24) to ask why people were quick to complain on social media but failed to check in on social media while travelling in that direction is completely ridiculous given that it's against the law to engage in distracted driving and use devices that would have allowed access to social media.
